Main Responsibilities
APQP & Launch Management
- Lead and coordinate all APQP activities for new projects, engineering changes, and product transfers.
- Prepare, update, and ensure proper execution of all APQP/Core Tools deliverables:
- DFMEA
- PFMEA
- Control Plan
- MSA
- PPAP
- Process Flow Diagram
- Ensure alignment with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) and OEM expectations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate follow‑up meetings with Engineering, Quality, Production, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure on‑time readiness.
- Support internal and external communication for part approvals, launch updates, and issue resolution.
Risk Prevention & Quality Assurance
- Conduct risk analysis using PFMEA, lessons learned, and historical data to prevent failures.
- Ensure implementation of preventive actions and monitor their effectiveness.
- Oversee build, validation, and approval of tooling, gauges, fixtures, and prototypes.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure IATF 16949 compliance across all APQP and launch activities.
- Assist during internal and external audits related to product launch, APQP documentation, and PPAP readiness.
Problem Solving & Issue Escalation
- Analyze product and process deviations during development.
- Lead root‑cause investigations using 8D, A3, and 5 Why methodologies.
- Coordinate corrective and improvement plans with cross‑functional teams.
Production & Customer Alignment
- Manage customer and supplier PPAP submissions through final approval.
- Validate production readiness at shop‑floor level, including process verification and documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate release of processes to production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in the automotive industry (Tier 1 or Tier 2).
- Proven experience in project development under APQP methodology.
- Hands‑on experience with Core Tools:
- APQP
- PPAP
- FMEA (AIAG & VDA)
- MSA
- SPC
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of IATF 16949 requirements.
- Experience working with OEMs (GM, Ford, Stellantis, etc.) and navigating customer portals.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, stamping, injection molding, assembly, etc.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Advanced use of problem‑solving tools (8D, A3, 5 Why’s).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation.
- English: Intermediate–Advanced (customer‑facing communication).
