JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Premium Portfolio Brands will play a critical role in advancing cross-brand and portfolio-wide initiatives—helping to track, manage, and optimize a dynamic set of Premium & Endorsed brand management projects. This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy and execution, ensuring work across multiple brands is aligned, prioritized, and delivered with speed and impact. Scope encompasses fourteen brands – from our flagship brands (Marriott Hotels) to our emerging brands (Outdoor Collection).

This is an ideal role for a highly organized, strategic thinker who combines strong project management discipline with deep brand management expertise. The individual will flex across initiatives—stepping into priority projects, driving progress, and ensuring teams move seamlessly from strategy to execution.

Working closely with Global Discipline teams and Continent partners, this leader will act as a central connector—bringing structure, visibility, and momentum to a complex portfolio of work.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

 

Education and Experience 

 

Required

  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major
  • Five or more years’ relevant professional experience in brand strategy or management, operations, or project/program management ideally across multiple brands demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity. 
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to manage complexity and drive clarity across a portfolio of work.
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management discipline—able to track, prioritize, and deliver against multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a bias for action.
  • Naturally collaborative and highly effective in matrixed, global environments.
  • Comfortable stepping into ambiguity and flexing across projects as business needs evolve.
  • Combines brand sensibility with operational rigor—understanding both the “what” and the “how” of great brand work.

Preferred

  • Experience in consulting, strategy, or transformation roles is a strong plus.
  • Prior Marriott experience 
  • MBA degree

• Drive Portfolio & Project Management Excellence

  • Manage and track a portfolio of brand management initiatives across multiple brands, ensuring clear priorities, timelines, and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain frameworks, tools, and processes to improve visibility, coordination, and delivery across projects.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies, proactively driving solutions to keep work on track.

• Enable Cross-Brand & Cross-Project Integration

  • Support and connect work across brands to ensure alignment with broader portfolio strategies and shared objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to scale, streamline, or standardize approaches across brands.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across initiatives, ensuring consistency and reducing duplication.

• Step into and Advance Priority Projects

  • Flex into key strategic or operational projects as needed—providing both project leadership and brand expertise.
  • Drive progress on high-priority initiatives, bringing structure, clarity, and forward momentum.
  • Balance multiple workstreams, adapting quickly to shifting business needs.

• Translate Strategy into Execution

  • Partner with brand leads to ensure strategies are clearly defined and effectively operationalized.
  • Turn complex ideas into actionable plans with defined milestones and deliverables.
  • Ensure brand work is delivered with rigor, speed, and quality.

• Partner Across a Matrixed Organization

  • Collaborate closely with Global Discipline teams (Marketing, Design, Digital, Loyalty, CX) and Continent teams to advance key initiatives.
  • Act as a connector and influencer—facilitating alignment and driving decisions across stakeholders.
