We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Safety & Training Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and is passionate about creating a strong safety culture. In this role, you’ll support operational success by coordinating training compliance, mentoring personnel, and championing continuous improvement across site safety systems.
Working alongside experienced mining professionals, you’ll help ensure every team member goes home safe while contributing to the development of a highly skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
The role involves
The Safety & Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, monitoring and implementation of all Health, Safety & Training requirements for the project, ensuring they meet Redpath's and all relevant legislative requirements. Their duties will consist of but not limited to –
Identify improvements or updates for safety & training needs for the project;
Coordinate all safety and training functions for the project, ensuring adequate resources are provided to support the project operations;
Facilitate and complete risk assessment, management of change and other associated HSEQ systems requirements;
Maintain and develop the training requirements for all roles at the Project.
We are looking for
Extensive experience in a Safety and Training position within the underground hard rock mining space;
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Attention to detail ensuring all standards and compliance is met
Valid manual drivers licence
A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
