Sr. Project Manager

Based in Coyol, Alajuela, this role offers the opportunity to lead critical projects end to end, partner with diverse stakeholders, and drive meaningful business outcomes in a fast paced, agile setting.
This position is an P4 level (for internal use)
What will you be doing?
- Taking full ownership of complex IT projects from initiation through close down, ensuring delivery to time, scope, cost and quality
- Initiating projects, mobilizing cross functional teams, and creating detailed project plans with clearly assigned resources
- Managing day to day project execution, monitoring performance, and implementing mitigating actions for risks and issues
- Leading sprint and scrum planning, enabling agile teams to self organise and deliver effectively
- Maintaining project scope through structured change control processes
- Establishing, measuring and maintaining sprint velocity using use cases, stories and story points
- Removing obstacles that impede team progress and supporting consensus on achievable outcomes
- Executing project close down activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, and transition into operations
- Driving change implementation planning to ensure new technical capabilities are successfully integrated into the business
- Managing contracts, performance KPIs, variations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact across the programme
What will you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Operations, or Information Technology
- 8 years of senior IT project management experience within a global environment
- Strong experience delivering complex, high risk projects using both predictive and agile methodologies
- Proven capability in change management, contract management, and stakeholder engagement
- Professional certification such as PMI PMP, PMI ACP, or Scrum Master preferred
