Manufacturing Senior/Principal Quality Engineer (Assembly)

Senior Quality Engineer Job Description: Be first line of contact for quality issues with the CEM and components suppliers for both laser diode and Optical products manufactured at Fabrinet Implement appropriate preventive measures such as control plans and Quality monitoring are in place to ensure there are no significant quality spills with key customers in Asia Monitor and participate in New Product Development projects including performing quality evaluations Utilize internal SCAR system to ensure the CEM is driving to root cause analysis and implementing effecting corrective actions Monitor quality levels of manufactured products and take appropriate action when necessary to ensure a high level of quality Identify and initiate actions that will result in continuous improvement of the Quality System, products and processes Support Production personnel by resolving process and material related quality problems Work with material suppliers and the MACOM purchasing department to ensure consistent material quality Perform audits of the CEM and other suppliers as required Support cost reduction and process improvement projects through the use of various Six Sigma and Quality tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R R, SPC, pareto analysis and other tools Travel may also be required to CEM’s in Malaysia
