Job Description
Milacron is looking for a Master Data and Systems Manager to join our team in Batavia, OH. As The Master Data and Systems Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and facilitating activities to improve the processes and systems supporting the business, with a strong emphasis on automation, data integrity, and system reliability. This includes optimizing the ERP system configuration, establishing controls and guardrails to ensure data accuracy and completeness, streamlining processes to reduce errors and cycle time, and coordinating the testing and implementation of new systems and features. The ideal candidate is results oriented, has a strong attention to detail, and works well in a cross‑functional role while taking ownership for ensuring operational data is accurate, timely, and trusted.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team responsible for implementation and execution of ERP system strategy to support sales, engineering, supply chain, and operations functions
Establish and maintain standards, controls, and guardrails to ensure operational data is accurate, complete, logical, and consistently maintained within the ERP system
Define, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure data integrity, data completeness, and cycle time for creating and maintaining parts and master data
Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive, or error‑prone data entry and maintenance processes
Design and implement system validations, approval workflows, and fail‑safes that prevent incorrect or incomplete data from being released into downstream processes
Develop and maintain a standardized, systematic process for part creation and maintenance to ensure parts are entered correctly the first time
Monitor data quality trends and proactively address data issues before they impact planning, execution, or reporting
Partner with engineering, supply chain, and operations to ensure master data, BOMs, and planning parameters support accurate and efficient business execution
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to data errors, process gaps, and system deficiencies, with a focus on sustainable, automated solutions
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University or College
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to critically assess situations and logically create a framework with incomplete information
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to mentor, lead, and influence teams
Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards
Great to Haves:
Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Engineering, Science, or Business
Working knowledge of Lean practices; Daily Management, Standard Work, Kaizen, Heijunka, Poka-yoke
Proficient in all Microsoft software
