The Role
Stratus has recently partnered with Page Interworks and we’re hiring a Sr. Project Manager (MEP). This role will manage/maintain multiple clients contact and relationships. Schedule, direct, and coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering designs for assigned projects to meet client and company commitments. Coordinate with engineers, plan, design and prepare electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial and industrial facilities such as offices, retail spaces, distribution centers and special projects
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing company policies, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Coordinate and direct multiple client projects, making detailed plans and schedules to accomplish goals, meet client commitments and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Confer with management, design team, and administration to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, design team and/or firm.
- Set operational and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
- Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications and to establish project completion dates.
- Supervise, assign, direct, prioritize and evaluate the work of designers and CAD technicians in department.
- Oversee development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Ensure production level is maintained during employee absences through team cross training, technical solutions and contract labor.
- Respond to calls from contractors providing project design clarification and making modifications as necessary due to local codes or other factors.
Qualifications
Required
- 10 or more years in an engineering design position and 5 years management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent to appropriate four-year college program.
- Preferred 10 years of field experience in building systems maintenance and/or install.
