Job Description
Location: Juarez, Nuevo León Opportunity Under the supervision of the Project Specialist /CIC, this position is responsible for implementing the adequate manufacturing processes and the continuous improvement projects aimed at achieving efficiency and productivity, as well as decrease waste and cost. Improve the working conditions using Engineering techniques, update the standard times for all activities on the production areas, perform 5 “s” audits and give follow up to the KOS savings. To be successful in this role, the candidate would need to display an analytical approach on times study and movements, detection of waste activities, implement effective actions to reduce them and owner of the layout. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops activities such as: Optimize sequence of operations, Balance lines, Cycle time reduction, worker effort and inventory reduction, floor improvement, ergonomic to improve work conditions, reducing or eliminating waste. Give follow up to activities such as: Cycle time reduction, worker effort and inventory reduction, floor improvement, to improve work conditions, reducing or eliminating waste, using the 7 waste reduction forms and ergonomic issues. Analyze throughput, OEE, and bottleneck data to identify constraints; lead Throughput Improvement Process, activities and structured problem solving. Analyze the process to determine the adequate work conditions, related to space, layouts, lighting, breaks, manpower, tools and equipment. Support activities during the KOS events and support all the teams on the methodology application. Development and maintain Standard Work studies updated with no more than 1 year old. Maintain the Layered Process Audit updated and standardized. Give follow up to achieve KOS Savings goals and report savings in monthly basis, achieve the goals and create new list for every year. Own and oversee the accuracy of IE documentation, including Standard work cycle and non-cycle, Standard Time Data System, Standard Operation Sheets, routings, AutoCAD layouts, and labor reporting Provide support to all areas in the plant on structural fabrication to improve productivity, safety and quality (Kaizen Team) Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position). Champion safe work practices and ergonomic improvements in all IE studies and layout changes; partner with Safety and HR on compliance and risk reduction initiative
