Substitute Mechanic

The Big Walnut Local School District is currently seeking qualified candidates for a part-time substitute Mechanic position. 

Description:

The qualified candidate must show enthusiasm for work, and assume responsibility with minimal direct supervision. The part-time substitute mechanic will be called on an as-needed basis, and will assist the head mechanic and transportation staff.

Qualifications:   

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic and repair skills of both diesel and gasoline bus/truck engines, electrical systems and body components
• The ability to obtain the required CDL license to operate a school bus in the state of Ohio
• Demonstrated aptitude of competence for assigned responsibilities
• ASE Certification preferred
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
