Private Client Attorney with Portable Book

Location: New York

Compensation: $300,000 - $1,000,000 / year

Description

We are seeking experienced attorneys who currently manage or influence approximately ten million dollars or more in client assets, or who maintain a strong book of long-term client relationships within estate planning, trust administration or private client services.


This role is ideal for attorneys who want:

  • A larger and more sophisticated platform for their clients

  • A smooth and confidential transition for clients

  • Support with practice management, compliance and operational oversight

  • A clear pathway for succession planning or long-term partnership

  • A firm capable of integrating smaller books and agencies into a unified structure

Our firm successfully absorbs smaller practices and provides the administrative, legal and operational framework to help attorneys focus on client service rather than back-office work.



Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing estate planning, trust administration and private client legal services

  • Advising high net worth clients, families and business owners

  • Managing and expanding a book of client relationships

  • Coordinating with internal tax, investment and planning professionals

  • Supporting the integration of acquired agencies or books of business

  • Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical and fiduciary requirements

  • Building long-term relationships rooted in planning, generational strategy and client care

Our structure supports both client transition and business development while reducing administrative burden on incoming attorneys.


Ideal candidates bring:

  • A minimum of seven to ten years of experience in trust and estate law, private client advisory or related fields

  • A portable client book of approximately ten million dollars or more in client assets or equivalent relationship value

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage long-term client relationships

  • Experience supporting high net worth individuals, families, or business owners

  • A planning focused, client centric mindset

  • An interest in joining a firm that is actively acquiring smaller books and practices and integrating them into a cohesive platform
