Language Access Specialist (Per Diem)

The Language Access Specialist is a bilingual healthcare interpreter that facilitates communication between English speakers and LEP (Limited English Proficient) individuals by interpreting messages accurately and faithfully. This position works in partnership with all clinical teams (medical, dental and pharmacy) to successfully provide quality care for patients. This position coordinates with the care team to assure the effective delivery of interpreting services that meet the patients’ needs and contributes to maintaining the patient's health care record through careful, accurate and complete documentation of the elements under their responsibility. The Language Access Specialist may translate written documents as needed and provides sight-translation of relevant materials.
