
Mammography Technologist (PRN)
Job Description
- Assists with performing mammography services, following prescribed techniques/procedures as outlined in the mammography policy and procedure manual at JCMG.
- Assists with performing other related imaging procedures producing images for interpretation by a physician.
- Coordinates daily patient schedules and ensures correct staff/workload balance for both high quality and efficiency, in the mammography division.
- Ensure mammography staff provide excellent customer service during each patient encounter.
- Works with Director to ensure mammography department is constantly in compliance with regulatory requirements including ACR and MQSA/FDA Accreditations.
- Scheduling Physicist Annual reviews, scheduling Hologic PM for mammography, scheduling Suros PM’s.
- Manage mammography letters, and outside discs for new patients.
- Make sure OSF are within 30 days to be reported.
- Responsible for cleaning of Radiologists workstation list, and cleaning off old exams on Hologic unit.
- Collaborate with COO and Radiologists regarding mammography staff evaluations and corrective actions.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to assist with checking patient into the Radiology Department for testing.

- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of the committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiography Program
- None required for staff position
- AART certification in mammography
- Maintains credentials in good standing
- BLS required
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology in order to perform mammography testing
- Knowledge of imaging equipment
- Good verbal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to use computerized information systems
- Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships

Pay Range: $27.39 - $33.55 per hour
