Job Description & Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in any major language (such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.) and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies. You will be responsible for building scalable and maintainable automation solutions to improve software quality and accelerate delivery cycles. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or similar tools. 

• Implement automated test scripts across different layers of the application (UI, API, backend). 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive automation coverage. 

• Execute and analyze automated test results; identify, report, and track defects. 

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for faster and reliable release cycles. 

• Optimize and improve existing automation frameworks to enhance performance and reliability. 

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation tools and technologies. 

• Help define test strategy and ensure adherence to best practices in automation. 

• Mentor junior team members, reviewing their code and providing technical guidance. 

Mandatory skill sets: 

• Mandatory Skill : Atleast 1 yr experience in Playwright / Cypress / WebdriverIO / NightwatchJS and minimum 4 yrs overall automation experience. 

• Required Skills and Experience: 

• 4 to 8 years of experience in test automation engineering. 

• Proficient in automation tools like Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright. 

• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#. 

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch or improving existing ones. 

• Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle, types of testing (functional, regression, integration), and Agile methodology. 

• Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar. 

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). 

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Preferred skill sets: 

• Experience with API automation testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or similar. 

• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. 

• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow. 

Years of experience required: 

3 to 6 years of experience in test automation engineering withPlaywright exposure. 

Education qualification: 

B.E. / B.Tech / MCA/ M.E/ M.TECH/ MBA/ PGDM. All qualifications should be in regular full-time mode with no extension of course duration due to backlogs
