Accounting and Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Job Description
ING Luxembourg Financial and Regulatory Reporting team (Finance Department), is looking for a motivated Senior Accounting and Regulatory Reporting analyst. You will be part of a Team of senior and more junior profiles who will need your expertise in the Accounting and Regulatory areas.
Your key responsibilities
- Reviewing and coordinating the monthly closings process
- Reviewing and coordinating the report preparation by others and is responsible for coaching of less experienced staff
- Supporting the Team to Improve and automate internal processes & efficiency
- Developing and performing analytical review and key controls
- Preparing responses to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders (e.g. Regulators, Management, external auditor)
- Working closely together with various departments within the processing chain (Front Office, Back Office /Operations, Finance, Risk Management)
- Understanding of finance & risk process architecture and supporting systems
- Participating in strategic, tactical and ad-hoc Finance projects
As Accounting and Regulatory Reporting analyst, you are able to provide in a clear and concise manner an explanation on the evolutions of our (Off-)Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) figures. You act as a gatekeeper for our Accounting and Reporting disclosures. You are a sparring partner for your Accounting and Reporting colleagues. You empower by providing valuable information and advice, by supporting them with key financial analyses.

- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or alike
- a good knowledge of bank accounting, of Lux Gaap and IFRS GAAP
- a good knowledge of the Finance & Regulatory reporting (CSSF and BCL)
- an analytical & change mindset
- a curious and challenging attitude
- a good knowledge of the banking industry, its products and its processes
- an excellent knowledge of MS Office products especially Excel & Business Object
- a good sense of humour
