About the role

As Head of Commercial Excellence, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how Haleon wins in market. You’ll connect commercial strategy with customer-facing execution, lead commercial excellence initiatives, and bring strategic oversight to trade marketing operations. In this role, you’ll help ensure our plans are insight-led, customer-centric, and fully aligned with our brand ambition and business priorities.

You’ll also build the capabilities, tools, and insight needed to unlock success across each of these strategic pillars.

A day in The Life

Role Responsibilities

  • You’ll shape the right go-to-market model by bringing critical input based on market maturity, business needs, and the portfolio priorities we want to accelerate.
  • You’ll coordinate and streamline commercial systems while enhancing local processes to improve execution and efficiency.
  • You’ll build a customer-centric agenda that helps the market better understand customer needs and supports stronger Joint Business Planning.
  • You’ll leverage the Shopper Science Lab to uncover shopper needs, turn them into actionable insights, and translate them into strong customer and category plans.
  • You’ll provide strategic direction and oversight across shopper marketing initiatives, from retail marketing and point-of-sale materials to customer-specific promotional campaigns.
  • You’ll ensure consistent brand positioning across customer touchpoints and align trade marketing activity with integrated marketing campaigns.
  • You’ll develop channel-specific commercial strategies and optimise product mix, pricing, and promotions by channel.
  • You’ll build and maintain shopper marketing dashboards and commercial analytics that generate insight and support better decision-making.
  • You’ll lead the regional Net Revenue Management agenda, identifying value for both Haleon and our customers through smart mix, pricing, trade terms, promotion, and portfolio management.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree; an MBA is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience across companies which have proven multichannel customer centric approach

Key skills:

  • Experience of managing global/ regional retailers
  • Cross Functional Team experience (Sales/ Category Marketing)
  • Shopper Understanding and Category Management Experience
  • Channel Strategy experience preferred.
  • Proven management skills
  • Good communication and collaborative work skills
  • Strong people leadership
