Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Be a process and equipment expert with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and correct production related issues as they arise. Must become proficient in operating all production and support machinery to include start up, shut down, changeover and sanitation. Must become proficient in the operation of sit down and stand-up forklifts.
- Collaborate with Management: Collaborate with management to develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, and strategies. Provide input on resource allocation, budgeting, and staffing requirements.
- Mentor Team Members: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to help them develop new skills, improve performance, and achieve career goals. Foster a positive and supportive team environment and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Improve Processes and Procedures: Collaborate with management to identify areas for process improvement, and develop and implement new procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality. Ensure all changes are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to team members and ensure that all work is completed to the required quality standards. Troubleshoot technical issues and develop and implement solutions to complex problems.
- Monitor and Report Performance: Monitor team performance, and report on key metrics, including productivity, quality, and safety. Identify areas for improvement and develop and implement plans to address performance gaps. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality and monitor individual performance of the operators.
- Manage Conflicts and Issues: Manage conflicts and issues within the team, ensuring they are resolved promptly and fairly. Escalate complex issues to management, as necessary.
- Maintain a Safe Working Environment: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Report all safety incidents, and participate in safety investigations, as necessary.

- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
High school diploma, or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
Leadership experience is preferred.
