onsemi is currently seeking an experienced Product Engineer to develop and optimize Si, SiC & GaN power devices. This person will utilize her/his knowledge, skills, and most importantly energy and willingness to learn, to take on challenges to support onsemi’s technology and operations teams to improve the reliability and manufacturability of our Si, SiC & GaN power device products. This position reports to the Senior Director, Design for Reliability and Manufacturability.

Performance Objectives

Lead new product development and new package development projects for MOSFET, SiC, GaN and GaN Driver
Collaborate with Test Engineering and Manufacturing Test Engineering teams to support new product development and ensure smooth ramp-up to mass production.
Facilitate and coordinate design, process, assembly, test and releasing of the product to market
Work closely with design, test, device engineers in varied locations in a team environment
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders for effective problem solving and completion of product development in a timely manner
Establish comprehensive test coverage to eliminate test escapes and guarantee product quality.
Perform product characterization, analyze data, and deliver clear, actionable reports.
Generate and maintain project documents such as product data sheets, test specifications, Engineering build requests, reliability test allocation, test related reports, project documents and support for other manufacturing related documentations.
Agile management for Project documentation
Project Management of time and cost sensitive projects as well as special projects
Prepare and present status updates, gate reviews of critical projects to the Project Review Board

Position Description

Principal Product engineer for Power MOSFET Division for New Product Development

Candidate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements:

BSEE / BSECE, at least 6-8 years of device/product or test engineering experience in a semiconductor environment.
At least 5 years of semiconductor new products development procedure and execution management experience
Experience in semiconductor processes (silicon fabrication/probe testing/assembly/final testing)
Familiar with power devices operations and applications
Proven track record of effective team leadership, problem solving and good eng’g judgment
Good verbal and written communications skills
Strong knowledge of statistical data analysis and problem-solving tools
Strong skills for interpersonal relations, negotiation, including collaboration and coordination with global cross functional teams
Ability to multitask & self-driven to produce results in a timely fashion with strong sense of urgency
