Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for a Women’s Golf Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach to join their team.

About this Opportunity

The primary duties of University of Washington Athletic Department coaches are to teach, instruct, educate and impart knowledge to student-athletes regarding the rules and fundamentals of their respective sport with the goal to continuously improve and achieve athletic excellence.

This position will develop a robust recruiting program to attract elite women’s golf athletes.  Travel nationally and internationally to build relationships with women’s golf programs, identify and recruit top women’s golf athletes. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a robust recruiting program to attract elite women’s golf athletes. (15%)  

  • Travel nationally and internationally to build relationships with women’s golf programs, identify and recruit top women’s golf athletes.  (15%)

  • Assist in coaching practice and competitions.  (30%)

  • Assist in developing team practice and organizational plans.  (15%)

  • Assist with scheduling and travel arrangements.  (5%)

  • Assist overseeing program budgets, fundraising and alumni relations.  (10%)

  • Assist in monitoring academic progress of the student-athletes.  (5%)

  • Other duties as assigned. (5%)

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or advanced degree and coaching experience at the collegiate Division 1 level. 

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and proven success in recruiting national and international elite golf athletes who have ranked highly in high school or college competition, and/or who advanced to compete professionally. 

  • Successful experience competing at the collegiate or professional level. 

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.   

Working Conditions

Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$75,000.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$80,004.00 annual

Other Compensation:

- Taxable benefits include tickets to UW Intercollegiate home competitions. - Non-local candidates may be eligible for a moving allowance.
