Job Description
The Regional Medical Officer provides regional leadership and technical oversight for occupational health services within the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA), ensuring staff health, safety, and well-being in line with UN medical standards. Operating under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and the Director of the Staff Health and Welfare Division, the role delivers clinical oversight, medical clearances, insurance and claims review, emergency and crisis health support, and strategic occupational health planning. The incumbent works closely with OHU headquarters, HR, regional and country offices, UN medical counterparts, and external providers, while contributing to policy development, health risk management, emergency preparedness, and capacity building across the region.
