Position Summary The Regional Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and quality assurance for multiple Seminary@Ministry teaching sites within the Talbot Embedded initiative. This role ensures that each site reflects the academic standards, theological commitments, relational culture, and ministry vision of Talbot School of Theology. The Regional Supervisor supports Site Coordinators and host ministry partners as a coach and strategic partner, helping ensure consistent program quality, a strong student experience, and healthy cohort development across assigned sites. The role also contributes to regional partnership development and student recruitment efforts. Alignment with Theological Positions The person who fills this position must be someone who personally agrees with Biola’s Articles of Faith and Statement of Biblical Principles and who is supportive of the positions taken by Biola as contained in its Eschatology Teaching Position. As such, this person may not speak against or act in a manner inconsistent with these positions during the course of their employment at Biola. Department Talbot School of Theology Supervisors Reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree required; marketing, communications, public relations, or related field preferred. Master’s degree in a theology, ministry, or related field preferred. Work Requirements Part-time, non-exempt position (10 hours per week). Occasional travel and periodic presence on Biola University’s campus in La Mirada, CA required. Primary Responsibilities Oversee assigned Seminary@Ministry sites to ensure consistent program delivery, student experience, and ministry integration across cohorts. Monitor site health, engagement, effectiveness, and alignment with Talbot’s mission and academic standards Support Site Coordinators through leadership coaching in communication, administration, student care, and problem-solving Serve as the primary regional support contact for site leaders and ministry partners Support student recruitment, cohort enrollment, and promotion of Seminary@Ministry program within churches, ministries, and regional networks Monitor student engagement, retention, and cohort health Encourage spiritual, relational, and ministerial formation within cohorts Assist with identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new teaching sites and ministry partnerships Serve as liaison between Talbot leadership and regional sites, including providing updates on site health, enrollment trends, and growth opportunities Maintain clear communication with ministry partners and coordinators Required Skills and Qualifications Master’s degree required; doctoral degree preferred in theology, ministry, leadership, communications, organizational leadership, or a related field. Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in ministry leadership, academic administration, program coordination, or partnership development, preferably within higher education, seminary, church, or nonprofit environments. Demonstrated experience leading or supporting distributed programs, cohort-based initiatives, church partnerships, or multi-site ministry efforts. Proven leadership experience, including oversight of programs, teams, partnerships, or regional initiatives. Commitment to the mission of Biola University and the integration of faith and learning. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the mission and theological distinctives of Talbot School of Theology. Evidence of a mature Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with Biola’s standards of conduct. Active involvement in a local church and demonstrated engagement in ministry or service contexts. Proven ability to build, support, and sustain partnerships with churches, ministry leaders, and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to support strategic growth initiatives, including recruitment, enrollment support, or program expansion. Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites, priorities, and relationships simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and communicate policies, procedures, and operational best practices across multiple locations or stakeholders. Highly self-directed, dependable, and detail-oriented, with strong judgment in managing complex or sensitive situations. Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational, relational, and programmatic challenges. Strong interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to build trust, influence, and collaborate across academic, ministry, and administrative contexts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional reporting, presentations, and stakeholder communication. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic leadership, staff, ministry partners, and external organizations. Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and sound professional judgment in all responsibilities. Positive, approachable, and collegial demeanor, contributing to a healthy team and partnership culture. Flexibility, adaptability, and a learning-oriented posture in a dynamic and growing program environment. Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic data tracking or reporting tools. Ability to travel regionally as needed to support site visits, partnership development, and program oversight. Availability for occasional evening or weekend commitments related to ministry partner or cohort needs. Salary: $22 - $25 per hour ($13,000 annual budget)* *Pursuant to California pay transparency requirements, a salary range is provided for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Salary ranges may vary depending on the employee's primary work location. Accordingly, the salary range posted for positions located in California may differ from the salary range applicable to positions located in Arizona or other states. Candidates will be informed of the salary range applicable to their work location during the recruitment process.
