At Downer Energy & Utilities, we’re gearing up for growth across electricity, gas, telecommunications, and water industries. We need a talented, driven TA Business Partner to help us build the workforce of the future.

Based in Wiri, Auckland, you’ll sit at the heart of our blue-collar talent team, partnering with leaders across critical infrastructure portfolios. You’ll have autonomy to own your roles, the backing of a tight team, and encouragement to challenge the status quo. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Owning end-to-end recruitment, backed by a dedicated coordinator
• Building future-focused talent pipelines across trades and technical roles
• Strategic sourcing, thinking beyond the usual channels
• Delivering an outstanding candidate experience 
• Driving pace, quality, and compliance - without compromise

We’re looking for someone who loves a challenge, who sees potential, and thrives in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. 

You’ll step into a market where demand outweighs supply, and that excites you. You’re curious, ready to test traditional thinking and to try new tools - Partnering closely with leaders to deliver smarter talent solutions. You'll bring: 

• 3–5 years’ recruitment experience (trades, utilities or infrastructure a bonus)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence, guide and challenge
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with strong problem-solving ability
• Experience using sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK) and ATS platform Oracle Cloud beneficial
• Confidence working across multiple roles and keeping momentum high
• Knowledge of NZ employment and immigration legislation
• Competence in tech, including Microsoft and AI tools
• A commitment to Te Ao Māori and culturally competence
• Passion for delivering a great candidate experience
