Job Description
You will ensure the efficient supply of raw materials (RMs) and finished goods (FGs) across all sites and Strategic Business Units (SBUs). Your role will involve planning, scheduling, and monitoring raw material supply to support production requirements while optimizing inventory levels, managing purchasing orders, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners. You will ensure material availability, minimize supply risks, and support smooth manufacturing operations through planning, coordination, and data analysis. You will report directly to Supply Planning Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
Material Planning
- Develop raw material supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory policies.
- Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure planning master data accuracy, including lead times, sourcing rules, and planning methods.
- Communicate material risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to internal stakeholders.
- Analyze trends and cause of planning issues and propose improvement actions.
Inventory Management & Optimization
- Manage raw material inventory levels to balance service level and working capital targets.
- Review and maintain safety stock and planning parameters to reflect demand and supply variability.
- Identify and guide next steps to reduce excess, obsolete, slow‑moving, or expired raw materials.
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
- Create purchase orders for RMs and FGs based on supply plans.
- Support supplier performance monitoring by tracking on-time delivery, lead time adherence, and supply reliability. Coordinate with suppliers, QC, and other teams to resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and shelf-life extensions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing raw materials in a manufacturing environment, supply planning, material planning or manufacturing planning roles.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools and ERP system (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
- Ability to interpret planning data and exceptions.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
