The Business Development Specialist is responsible for achieving revenue growth targets for the relevant market vertical and/or technique, developing a Go To Market" (GTM) strategy specific to the needs of the Region. They will be also be tasked with developing a strategic action plan for targeted key accounts relevant to the market vertical and/or technique. The GTM strategy and resulting action plan mush utilize inside and outside resources to identify and develop opportunities for regional growth within the applicable market vertical and/or technique.
This position reports to the Country Sales Manager Country Sales Manager and is part of the Sales Team located in Bangkok, Thailand and will be an on-site role. OR and will be fully remote. OR working remotely to cover Thailand region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and execute GTM strategies and action plans to drive sales growth, increase market share, and enhance brand awareness. Lead initiatives to achieve above-market growth across regional Key Accounts.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to identify new business opportunities, manage the sales funnel, and build relationships with key thought leaders. Maintain CRM data and provide regular performance reporting, including KPIs, key actions, and results.
- Partner with Market Development Managers to design and implement integrated marketing communication plans. Develop customer-facing collateral and leverage both traditional and digital platforms to drive lead generation. Support regional events, conferences, and seminars to enhance visibility and generate leads.
- Deliver training programs on specific market verticals and technical areas for both internal teams and external stakeholders, enhancing overall capability and market expertise.
- Monitor competitor activities, identify opportunities and gaps, and provide actionable insights to Sales and Marketing teams. Track and anticipate key market trends, including regulatory changes, to ensure proactive strategy adaptation.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Strong knowledge of laboratory workflows, troubleshooting, and hands-on experience in relevant market verticals or techniques is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in consumables sales within target industry segments, with a proven track record in key account management and driving growth in competitive markets.
- Demonstrates innovative, solution-oriented thinking with strong attention to detail. Able to analyze complex situations and develop effective, practical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, communicate complex concepts clearly, and influence or negotiate to drive alignment and outcomes.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required to support business needs and regional engagement.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel – list specifics 70% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, move any other physical requirements
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Managing regional or cross-functional projects, working with sales, marketing, and technical teams to successfully launch new products or expand into new market segments
