Job Description
We are looking for a talented Business Unit Supervisor - 3rd Shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) location at York, SC.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Supervisory experience preferred.
- Resource Planning & Allocation: Forecast labor and equipment needs, adjust staffing levels, and coordinate cross‑training to ensure production areas remain fully supported.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination: Partner with supply chain, materials, and logistics teams to ensure component availability, prevent bottlenecks, and maintain smooth production flow.
- Performance Coaching & Documentation: Conduct regular check‑ins, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate performance records to support development and accountability.
- Escalation & Issue Resolution: Lead timely escalations for critical issues, facilitate problem‑solving discussions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
- Training & Skill Development: Ensure team members receive proper onboarding, skills training, and certification updates to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Audit Readiness & Compliance Support: Prepare production areas for internal and external audits by maintaining documentation, verifying standards, and supporting audit walkthroughs.
- Workforce Engagement & Recognition: Promote morale by recognizing achievements, encouraging idea sharing, and fostering a culture where employees feel valued and heard.
- Support for Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to plant‑wide projects, cost‑reduction efforts, and long‑term operational strategies that enhance productivity and competitiveness.
