Summary:

Provides coordinated leadership for Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Operations oversight, ensuring effective medication-use systems and delivery of optimal pharmacotherapy. The Clinical Operations Coordinator supports and, when appropriate, oversees the clinical activities of pharmacy specialists to manage service lines within pharmacy operations. This role also supervises pharmacy staff to promote efficiency, high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards. The Clinical Operations Coordinator leads designated initiatives related to drug program coordination and monitoring, staff development, formulary evaluation and medication selection, and the development of medication management policies. These efforts are aimed at advancing pharmacy practice, ensuring safe and cost-effective medication use, and achieving optimal patient outcomes. In collaboration with the Regional Manager, the coordinator identifies practice-related issues, supports process improvement efforts, and contributes to quality initiatives that enhance departmental performance. The role includes chairing assigned committees within the healthcare system and supporting the implementation of organizational goals across areas of responsibility. Additionally, the coordinator ensures alignment with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements, promoting adherence to medication management standards.
