Production Associate II (Paint) 


Driving energy transformation is critical to reducing climate change. To limit climate risks, it is necessary to reduce the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere. Help us drive energy transformation by performing system inspections while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 


We are seeking a Production Associate II responsible for ensuring paint processes are being executed by standard operating procedures to ensure daily productivity requirements are met, maintenance and rework activities are completed, all while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Hexagon Agility is a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions in the transport sector. Our technology enables hard-to-decarbonize segments—such as trucks and buses—to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives.


We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague who wants to work closely with our local operations team.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

    Must be able to perform all job duties and responsibilities of a level 1 plus the below. 

    Beginner level competence in at least one of the technical processes:

o    Prime or base liquid paint booth 

    Ability to apply primer or base coat per quality specifications 

    Ability to make minor adjustments to paint equipment 

    Ability to perform daily/weekly AM’s and PM’s 

    Ability to recognize defects in paint process 

o    Powder paint booth 

    Ability to select powder program per part type 

    Ability to manually apply powder as needed 

    Ability to complete color change over process per work instruction 

    Ability to read a scale. 

    Ability to change out powder waste drums. 

    Ability to conduct daily/weekly AM’s and PM’s. 

o    Pretreat 

    Ability to perform chemical checks 

    Ability to adjust chemical properties per process standards

    Ability to start/shut down both ovens and paint lines 

    Ability to keep pretreat chemical inventory up to date 

    Ability to plot mathematical graphs

    Ability to conduct daily/weekly AM’s and PM’s 

    Rework 

o    Must be able to analyze quality defects to determine proper method of rework

o    Ability to effectively buff/polish part to an acceptable state 

    Other duties as assigned by management. 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, & Power Point).

    Basic knowledge/use of an ERP system.

    Basic manufacturing experience preferred but not required. 

    Self-motivated; able to work with minimal direction individually and as a team.

    Anticipates needs and problems while creating solutions

    Follow all required safety protocols. 

    Ability to visually inspect products for cosmetic defects.

    Ability to identify safety risks.

    Actively participate in 5S activities in and around the paint department.

    Ability to verbally communicate with team members.


Credentials and Experience

    High School diploma or GED

    Experience in a production-based environment is preferred 

Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Physical Demands:

    Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lb.

    Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Regularly required to stand; frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; occasionally required to sit.

    Frequently exposed to different weather conditions.
