The Perioperative nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs undergoing surgical procedures. He/she also will assume responsibility for the patients’ care, clinical documentation and evaluation on the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care is consistently being delivered.
