Preferred Experience Must have completed and hold a national phlebotomy certification with at least 4 years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting

Job Summary
The Lab Tech 3 performs phlebotomy, processing, testing, and provides clerical support. Collect other specimens as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other personnel.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Conducts advanced laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited.
- Sorts, labels, and records patient specimens. Sets up specimen, material, and equipment in preparation for Medical Technologist to perform tests.
- Operates centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer, and other laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties.
- Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
- Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
- Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.
