Job Description
We are currently looking for a Data Visualization Intern to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the DDS team to gather and analyze data related to their processes, identifying key metrics and trends that can be visualized.
· Create compelling data visualizations using Power BI to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
· Work alongside the Digital Data Services Team to develop visual components for the playbook that will guide the organization in inventorying and documenting their processes.
· Assist in the creation of training materials or workshops to help departments utilize data visualization tools and interpret the visualizations accurately.
· Assist with creating comprehensive documentation of data sources, visualization methodologies, and best practices to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python for data manipulation.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and aesthetics in data presentation.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
- Ability to work multiple projects in parallel.
Clearance:
This position requires U.S. Citizenship in order to obtain/maintain a US government security clearance.
