Job Overview
This position is responsible for all equipment associated with the Cream Cheese Packaging lines, including performing activities related to repair, maintenance, and installation. Provide technical and problem-solving support for the line and plant. Support and execute plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals. Assures preventative maintenance schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion. Oversee overall maintenance, quality, and output for line.Kraft Heinz Management Systems (KHMS) participation is required.
12 hour shifts may be required.
Accountabilities
- Conduct repairs, adjustments, and operational checks to ensure effective set ups and changeovers to ensure equipment is delivering quality output.
- Efficiently operate and monitor equipment not limited to the following; cook, filling, packers, palletizer, robotic equipment, scales, x-rays, washers, and conveyors.
- Servicing and repairs to equipment may include but not limited to; gearbox, pumps, valves, sensors, filters, carts, piping, filters, and motors.
- Responsible for the KPI’s associated with area of responsibilities through SAP, accuracy for all associated equipment including BOM’s, maintaining and improving the OEE/GE Standards, maintaining budget for cost center, and line improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date records of adjustments made on equipment using SAP.
- Minimizes cost through innovation and initiative, and continuous improvement.
- Works with programmers, contractors, vendors, and service techs for maintenance requirements
- Responsible for implementation and ongoing maintenance of QRMP standards as assigned and actively executes performance monitoring audits in a timely manner
- Understanding of basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical troubleshooting with the willingness to learn shop skills, welding, machining, HVAC, etc.
- Expectation to cross train on additional lines and equipment in order to successfully provide coverage for planned and unplanned team absences. Off shift coverage may be required.
- Responsible for the overall housekeeping, associated period work, GMP’s in the work area, all maintenance activity relating to the line, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and rebuilds.
- This is a team-oriented position requiring active participation in establishing documented standard practices, change control, training, and performance metrics.
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Background
3-5 years previous experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic fields is required. Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance processes. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong written, verbal, communication and presentation skills. Overall Kraft job performance and attendance will be evaluated.
Comply with all Kraft policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, and other Associates. Participate on assigned teams; Support team decisions. Perform other duties as assigned by Leader. Must adhere to all site rules and adhere to all ways of working processes and procedures within this role. Position requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, timely Period Work completion, and the ability to perform all sanitation duties. Team participation is required. All other duties as assigned.
Sanitation – Will ensure that the equipment and machinery he/she works with is cleaned and sanitized according to the Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program rules explained at the beginning of the employment and during refreshing sessions.
Quality Assurance – Ensures all products manufactured comply with the Quality Assurance Program and policies reviewed during the on the job training applicable to this specific operation function.
Safety – Will follow instructions delivered during the training that explained the fundamentals of the Kraft Heinz Safety Process and will keep himself/herself and others away from harm while performing his/her duties. Will adhere to LOTO policy and procedures.
Work on all shifts expected, Weekend and Holiday work will be required. Schedule is based on a 7 day/week production; therefore, workdays may fluctuate from week to week based on production.
Wage rate: $32.60-37.04
