Job Description

Your primary responsibility is to create quality learning experiences for associates. You support them during new hire training, upskill and cross-skill training, and other learning interventions (such as store launches, SOP changes, and tool training) by providing the resources they need to do their job.

We improve learner skills and performance through ongoing learning, inclusive curriculum design, localization, video-based learning, case study practice, assessments, and periodic curriculum maintenance and redesign. We also measure the learner experience through feedback and curriculum reviews.


Key job responsibilities
- Identify learning needs mapped to business outcomes by partnering with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and key stakeholders.
- Determine, recommend, and document performance objectives, instructional standards, learner engagement strategies, and evaluation plans based on business and learner needs.
- Design learning solutions using various modalities such as interactive eLearning, instructor-led training, simulations, case studies, and activities.
- Develop course content including measurable performance objectives, scenarios, simulations, audio scripts, progress checks, performance evaluations, reference glossaries, and assessments.
- Scope projects or contribute to scoping efforts based on solution design.
- Gather and write content based on interviews with stakeholders and SMEs.
- Develop course materials using tools such as Articulate (Storyline, Rise), Camtasia, Adobe Suite, Questionmark, and Microsoft Suite.
- Revise and update course content based on data measuring ROI or learning effectiveness.
- Conduct curriculum evaluations at different levels (reaction, learning, behavior, and results) to measure training effectiveness and impact.
- Manage learning content and updates on SharePoint or other content management systems.
- Upload, test, and maintain content in an LMS.
- Collaborate with vendors on larger programs to review learning deliverables.
- Manage projects using tools such as Asana, Smartsheets, and Workfront, and provide regular project and program updates on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

A day in the life
Adhering to the core principles of adult learning, we create learning materials that are engaging and interactive for learners to increase knowledge retention and recall. Our goal is to build comprehensive and data-driven learning interventions and assessments that will produce robust insights to inform development activities. We work with Operations, Business, Global Process, Program & Training Delivery teams to identify scope of training through a standardized job-analysis process to support associates through their lifecycle. We use modalities such as instructor-led, blended, and independent learning to build quality learning experiences and periodically evaluate them to assess effectiveness.

About the team
The Learning Experience Design (LXD) team includes Learning Experience Designers, Program Managers, and Managers. We provide associates with learning that enables faster decisions with zero defects.

Our key focus areas include:


- Process Training: New hire, upskill, cross-skill, and continuing education content delivered through ILT, eLearning, and train-the-trainer modalities.
- Business Initiatives: Learning support for store launches, tool development, automation, and policy updates.
- Simulated Practice & Assessment: Medium-fidelity simulations for complex decision-making scenarios.
- Defect Reduction: Targeted interventions to address associate-controllable defects.
- Progression Paths: Defined investigator lifecycles aligned with Operations and Workforce Management.
