Position Summary
York Space Systems has an opening for a full-time Contracts Manager. This position will report to the Director - Government Contracts and will be responsible for supporting prime contracts across multiple programs in various stages of the contract lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, compliance-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced next generation corporate environment. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the contracts function for a rapidly scaling business.
This role will be located onsite at our Greenwood Village, Colorado facility.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee administration and management of US Government prime contracts and agreements, ensuring commitments are well understood by internal stakeholders and required actions are completed on time.
Lead the end-to-end strategy for contract changes and proposals to include development of negotiation framework.
Provide support to the capture and proposal operations team, to include reviewing, drafting, and submitting compliant responses to solicitations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to construct and negotiate terms and conditions that minimize legal and commercial risk and support favorable business outcomes.
Oversee contract data integrity and documentation to support internal and external audits, reviews, and inquiries.
Timely communication or escalation of contract information and issues for resolution with appropriate internal stakeholders.
Build and foster positive, enduring relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Qualifications Required for the Role
Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant discipline.
4+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years of direct experience administrating or managing US Government prime contracts or agreements.
Demonstrated knowledge of working engineering change proposals and/or new business proposals.
Experience operating as an external-facing company representative.
Ability to complete work independently while ensuring strategic oversight and alignment during pivotal stages.
Must currently hold or be willing and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance up to and including TS/SCI.
Preferred for the Role
Current, active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance
Experience with firm-fixed-price contracts or agreements
Experience with FAR and/or DFARS
Experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry
Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export compliance regulations
Knowledge of Intellectual Property Licensing / Data Rights
Familiarity with determining price reasonableness
