MAIN DUTIES: 

A Pool Server works effectively as part of the Pool F&B team, delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests in outdoor poolside environments. The Pool Server is primarily responsible for fulfilling all guest service needs according to 1 Hotel standards while creating memorable experiences that reflect our mission, vision, and brand values.

GENERAL DUTIES: 

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all poolside food and beverage offerings while making recommendations to guests.

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver items promptly and professionally.

  • Monitor guests' poolside experience to ensure satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.

  • Provide guest checks promptly and process payments accurately according to company procedures.

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking levels of all service stations, poolside areas, and workspaces.

  • Assist fellow team members with food running, clearing tables, resetting lounge areas, and other operational needs.

  • Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive service through eye contact, respectful conversation, and a positive attitude.

  • Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service experiences.

  • Practice the highest regard for safety in all work areas, especially around pools, wet surfaces, and outdoor environments.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures.

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.

  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with responsible alcohol service standards.

  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions.

  • Maintain poolside furniture, service equipment, and guest areas in a clean and presentable condition.

  • Follow company cash handling and payment tendering procedures with care and accuracy.

  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.

  • Complete all required safety training and certifications.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean, professional, and in accordance with grooming standards.

  • Embody the 1 Hotels Vision, Mission, and Compass; deliver on Our Promise, provide Good-Natured Service, and uphold our Brand Pillars.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Prior serving experience required; luxury hospitality or poolside service experience preferred.

  • Strong food and beverage knowledge.

  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.

  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reliable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain during employment).

  • Alcohol Service Certification (or ability to obtain during employment, if required by local regulations).

  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication.

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel
