Position: Senior Account Manager, Bakery & BarsLocation: This person must be located in the Greater Montreal Region.   Territory: Eastern CanadaStatus: Full-time, permanent (1). You will act as the primary liaison between our organization and key customer partners, driving market share expansion, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. Reporting to our Business Segment Manager – Bakery & Bars the ideal candidate will bring a strong sales experience with a technical background, to maintain and develop an established territory. The role involves traveling regularly within the assigned region and promoting Quadra's products and services. Sales Development and Customer Retention: Proactively grow sales within the Bakery & Bars Segment by identifying and securing opportunities with new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts Opportunity Pipeline Management: Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline by generating new opportunities, progress existing ones and commercializing wins to deliver growth in the territory Sales and Margin Objectives: Consistently meet or exceed annual sales and margin goals through effective territory management and customer engagement strategies. Leverage Resources: Employ both internal and external resources to enhance Quadra’s reputation for superior service and technical excellence in the Bakery & bars space. Product Sales and Promotion: Promote and sell Quadra’s high-quality product portfolio tailored to the Segment’s targeted industries, engaging customers through site visits, joint calls and participation in industry-specific events and forums. Technical Troubleshooting and Optimization: Assist customers in resolving technical challenges and identifying optimization opportunities, ensuring their operations align with industry best practices and maximize efficiency. Organizational and Multitasking Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities to effectively manage complex schedules and priorities. Communication Skills: Exhibit strong presentation and written communication skills to convey technical and sales information effectively. Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, addressing challenges with agility and resilience. Customer Needs Assessment: Identify key decision-makers, assess their requirements, and align solutions with their goals. Contract Negotiation and Closure: Facilitate new business deals by coordinating customer requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless contract integration. Relationship Building: Build and sustain meaningful relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to drive repeat business and unlock new sales opportunities. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively engage in cold calling and other lead-generation activities to expand the customer base. Reporting and Scheduling: Provide consistent, detailed weekly reporting on activities and maintain a structured approach to scheduling.   Key Skills and Attributes: Strategic mindset with the ability to manage a territory and overall business performance effectively Strong business acumen and commercial awareness Passionate, creative, and results-driven approach Ability to independently analyze and solve complex problems Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work autonomously Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships Highly curious and inquisitive with a continuous improvement mindset Strong negotiation and influencing skills   What qualifications and previous experience are required to be successful in this role? Completed Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food Engineering, Business or Commerce Minimum 8 years of business-to-business (B2B) sales experience within the food industry working mainly with Bakery and/or Bars accounts. Snack & Confectionary account experience is also considered an asset Technical knowledge of food ingredients is an advantage Proven ability to manage large, complex accounts and develop new business within multi-layered buying environments Excellent ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment while managing tight deadlines Strong organizational skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently and proactively are critical for managing multiple tasks, identifying opportunities, and resolving challenges effectively Willingness to travel (with some overnight) - 30% of working time Proficiency in using Office tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software like Salesforce, will facilitate effective communication, data analysis, and reporting Valid driver’s license & passport At Quadra, we offer not only an engaging culture, a collaborative, family-oriented and supportive environment, but also plenty of autonomy and flexibility. Compensation Information: The annual base salary for this position is expected to range between $88,100.00 and $148,625.00. Please note that this base salary range is provided for reference purposes only. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Base salary represents just one component of our overall compensation package. This role is also eligible for a generous incentive program and comprehensive benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked against the market and determined by role and level. Final base salary will be aligned with the selected candidate’s qualifications, skill set, competencies, and work location.
