Job Description

Let’s Talk about the Role

As the Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will take technical ownership of platform stability, operational excellence, and support effectiveness across our SRE scope.

You will lead the strategy for ensuring reliable operations for existing platforms while helping to define and improve support practices for future GridOS-based services. This is a hands-on technical leadership position where you will bridge the gap between reactive support and proactive reliability, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Driving platform stability and operational quality by leading SRE support activities and technical investigations.

  • Building strong relationships across engineering, product, and delivery teams to align support activities with customer and business needs.

  • Creating clarity in fast-paced environments by defining incident management, change support, and service health best practices.

  • Leading structured root cause analysis to resolve complex, recurring technical issues and prevent future incidents.

  • Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and documentation to reduce dependency on individuals and improve team-wide expertise.

  • Improving operational readiness for new services while transforming legacy support models into proactive, scalable systems.

Skills for Success

You are a proactive, solution-oriented technical leader who thrives in complex, mission-critical environments, with:

  • The ability to provide technical leadership and mentor SRE team members in daily operations and complex decision-making.

  • The capability to troubleshoot issues across application, infrastructure, database, network, and integration layers.

  • An understanding of cloud-native platforms, including Kubernetes, containerization, observability tools, and distributed systems.

  • An expertise in incident management, problem management, and defining operational standards in production environments.

  • A keen interest in driving long-term reliability improvements and transforming legacy systems toward modern operational models.

A formal education and subsequent University Bachelor or Master’s degree in a technical discipline are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

Where and how you'll work

We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home. You’ll be based in our Oslo office, collaborating with your team in person to build connections and drive innovation.
