
Sales Development Representative
Job Description
Your Mission
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at SBS CyberSecurity, your mission is to build a strong, qualified pipeline of new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers. You are the first point of contact for many organizations and play a critical role in shaping their initial experience with SBS.
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales and Marketing to execute targeted outreach campaigns, qualify inbound and outbound leads, and schedule high-quality meetings that convert into sales opportunities. This hybrid position will report to our Sioux Falls office with opportunities for remote work 1-2 days per week.

What You’ll Do
- Prospect into target accounts through calls, email, and social outreach
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine fit, urgency, and business need
- Schedule discovery meetings for Sales Executives and ensure proper handoff
- Research accounts, industries, and decision-makers to personalize outreach
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline data in CRM
- Execute outreach campaigns aligned with marketing initiatives
- Follow up persistently with prospects to drive engagement
- Collaborate with Sales Executives to refine messaging and targeting
- Meet or exceed activity and pipeline generation goals
- Stay current on SBS services and industry trends
What You Bring
- 0–3 years of experience in sales or customer-facing role
- Strong interest in cybersecurity or technology
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of motivation and coachability
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- CRM experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with outbound prospecting or cold calling
- Experience working with financial institutions
- Familiarity with sales engagement tools
- Exposure to cybersecurity or compliance frameworks
- History of meeting or exceeding targets

Additional Details
This is a full-time position. This role would require occasional travel. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. On rare occasions, this position may require some after-work hours due to workload or tight deadline.

Travel
This position requires up to 10-15% travel. A valid driver’s license and qualifying for SBS insurance coverage may be required for specific positions.
