Job Description

Responsibilities

Manages assigned personnel and coordinates the activity of assigned personnel in order to provide effective security services to PHC. Enforces all PHC regulations, and applicable state and federal laws. Supports all security functions to maintain a safe and secure environment. Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects. Advocates crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation, interaction, and intervention. Works as part of the System Public Safety Leadership Team in support of the System Director of Public Safety as well as the local entity Executive Leader.

Qualifications

Education
  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare management/ business administration, criminal justice, or other related
    fields Preferred
Work Experience
  • 5 years general security, military or other public safety experience with three (3) years’ experience
    in supervision/leadership roles Required

  • Required to pass psychological screening during pre-employment screening.
    Required

  • May be required to carry less lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or an expandable baton

  • May be required to carry company approved firearm

  • To carry a lethal or less-lethal weapons the Manager must pass and maintain all training
    requirements
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (IAHSS) Preferred

  • Active Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification Preferred
