Job Description: This position is a project based After Hours Program working with middle school aged children. Duties include: facilitating activity planning meetings, inventorying and ordering materials and supplies, developing and scheduling daily children's activities, communicating information to parents through memos and newsletters, mentoring and providing orientations to Club Leaders, and assigning and monitoring the work of Club Leaders. Applicant must have availability between 6:30am - 6:30pm.

Essential Duties:
- Oversees the daily operations and implementation of the After Hours, out-of-school time middle school program
- Provides appropriate supervision and interactions with children
- Serves as a lead worker to other Community Education program staff and/or supervises or provides leadership oversight of staff to include assigning and monitoring work, ensuring training, resolving conflicts, assisting in interviewing applicants and evaluating program staff
- As assigned, may provide strategy and tactical support to program administrators including planning and creating program specific collateral for parents, community groups, and customers and serving as a point of contact for various stakeholder groups.
- Facilitates planning meetings to develop, organize, and schedule daily activities, materials, and supplies
- Communicates information to parents, community groups, customers and District staff through a variety of mediums such as newsletters, memos, signs, or verbally.
- Ensures that the program adheres to local policy and state/federal requirements
- Reviews program/site inventories and oversees the ordering of materials, resources, supplies, and equipment for daily activities and special projects by determining what is needed
- Facilitates parent, customer, vender, or community relations meetings to develop and implement continuous quality program improvement
- Completes other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years' experience in a childcare setting or, based upon assignment, completion of specific coursework related to childcare or experience working in a licensed childcare program is required; or 2 years of specialized experience related to the area of assignment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Project based experience required. Fingerprint clearance card required.
Employment Information: 26/27 School Year ; 40 hours per week (non-exempt); 196 days
Salary: Band B 22 - $21.23/hour entry level
