Job Description

Eaton’s Residential & Wiring Devices Division is seeking a Product Line Manager to lead the strategy, growth, and profitability of its Residential Circuit Protection portfolio, a business generating approximately $1 billion in annual revenue.

 

This role provides end-to-end ownership of the product line, including portfolio strategy, new product development, pricing, lifecycle management, and commercial execution. The Product Line Manager will work closely with Product Managers, Eaton’s North American Sales organization, a national network of Manufacturer Sales Representatives, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing Communications to translate customer and market needs into sustainable growth and strong financial performance.

 

The Residential Circuit Protection portfolio is supported by manufacturing operations in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico; Haina, Dominican Republic; Lincoln, Illinois; Juarez, Mexico; and Monterrey, Mexico. This position requires a strategic, commercially oriented leader who can influence and drive results across a highly matrixed organization while building strong product management discipline and operational rigor.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $182000 - $266000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

What you’ll do:

Product Line Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
•    Own and execute the multi-year strategy for the Residential Circuit Protection portfolio, aligned with division growth objectives.
•    Define and maintain the product roadmap, balancing innovation, profitability, lifecycle management, and operational capacity.
•    Translate market trends, customer insights, voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback, and competitive intelligence into actionable business decisions.
•    Lead portfolio governance, including SKU rationalization, lifecycle transitions, and end-of-life planning.
Commercial & Market Leadership
•    Partner with Sales, manufacturer representatives, distributors, and key customers to drive profitable growth and market adoption.
•    Develop and execute pricing and margin strategies in partnership with Finance and Pricing teams.
•    Support go-to-market execution for new product launches, product conversions, and growth initiatives.
•    Serve as a senior product and business leader in customer engagements and internal leadership discussions.
New Product Development & Lifecycle Management
•    Lead new product development from opportunity assessment and VOC through launch, adoption, and lifecycle optimization.
•    Ensure launch readiness across Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.
•    Own product stewardship, including product documentation, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and quality feedback processes.
•    Drive disciplined lifecycle management practices to improve portfolio performance and execution consistency.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
•    Lead strategic initiatives across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, Finance, and Sales.
•    Drive alignment, prioritization, and decision-making within a complex matrix environment.
•    Establish and maintain operating rhythms, including roadmap reviews, portfolio reviews, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
•    Resolve competing priorities and escalations while balancing strategic objectives with day-to-day business needs.
Analytics, Forecasting & Business Performance
•    Utilize sales, demand, profitability, and lifecycle data to drive informed business decisions.
•    Partner with Demand Management and Sales Operations to improve forecast accuracy and SIOP effectiveness.
•    Convert complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership.
•    Develop and enhance dashboards, metrics, and reporting to monitor portfolio performance.
Leadership & Talent Development
•    Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to Product Managers and cross-functional team members.
•    Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations across the product management organization.
•    Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and learning agility.
•    Support succession planning and talent development initiatives to strengthen organizational capability.

In this position you will:

Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, sales, marketing, and/or engineering,
•    Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
•    MBA or other advanced degree.
•    Experience within electrical products, building materials, power distribution, or related industrial markets.
•    Experience managing products sold through electrical distribution and contractor channels.
•    Experience selling or marketing products through retail channels.
•    Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and channel development.
•    Experience working with global manufacturing and supply chain organizations.
•    Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes in a matrixed environment.
