The mission of the Career Center is to engage, empower, and support students in exploring and pursuing their career goals. We aim to help students develop career plans, improve job search skills, and make informed career decisions.

The Career Center offers various services to students and employers. These include internship and co-op programs, recruitment events, job fairs, career exploration programs, career advising, and survey reports. The appointee is expected to perform the following duties.

Job Descriptions:

  • Lead and manage small-scale projects independently, demonstrating strong ownership and sound decision-making capabilities;

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with students, internal departments, and external stakeholders (e.g., employers, alumni, trainers, speakers) to ensure smooth project execution;

  • Coordinate logistics and provide onsite support for career events and internship programs, showcasing proactive planning and problem-solving skills;

  • Coordinate and guide study tours to the GBA and other cities;

  • Assist in conducting university-wide graduate employment surveys, analyzing data, preparing comprehensive reports, and compiling relevant statistics;

  • Perform general office administrative duties with attention to detail and efficiency;

  • Handle email and phone enquiries professionally, providing prompt and accurate information;

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of post-qualification work experience, preferably not exceeding 8 years of work experience;

  • Possess strong ownership and accountability, self-motivation, attention to detail, and multitasking skills;

  • Demonstrates leadership potential and supervisory skills;

  • Exhibit effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and flexible environment;

  • A team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic;

  • Proficient in advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel;

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);

  • Willing to occasionally work outside normal office hours;

  • Willing to occasionally travel outside Hong Kong;

  • Immediate availability is preferred.

(Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
