We are seeking a temporary HR Field Recruiter. This role is responsible for rapidly sourcing, recruiting, and mobilizing high volumes of skilled craft personnel to support refinery turnarounds, shutdowns, and outage events. This role is critical to ensuring projects are fully staffed with qualified, safety-driven professionals within tight timelines. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments and can effectively balance urgency, quality, and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle, high-volume recruiting for refinery turnaround craft roles, including boilermaker, foremen, QA/QC roles.
- Partner closely with HR Field Specialist to understand project scopes, manpower curves, and critical timelines and align on required certification, skills, and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain ready-to-deploy craft pipelines ahead of scheduled turnarounds.
- Coordinate and manage screening and selection, ensuring candidates meet:
- Skill and experience requirements
- Safety standards and site-specific expectations
- Assist with mobilization logistics, including:
- Site onboarding and badging
- Drug/alcohol testing and background checks.
- Verification of certifications (NCCER, TWIC, etc.)
- Scheduling and deployment coordination.
- Track and manage headcount fulfillment vs. plan, providing real-time updates to leaders
- Support redeployment strategies post-turnaround to retain high performers across projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in ATS and workforce tracking systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in craft recruiting or staffing, preferably in refinery turnarounds or industrial outages
- Strong understanding of refinery environments and turnaround workforce dynamics
- Proven experience managing high-volume, time-sensitive hiring efforts
- Familiarity with required certifications and credentials, including:
- TWIC card
- OSHA training
- Client-specific safety requirements
- Ability to operate with a high level of urgency, adaptability, and accountability
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, especially under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, Excel, and workforce planning tools
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Office environment. This role requires in-office presence three days per week at a minimum, with occasional additional in-person attendance for key meetings and company events.
