
Business Development Assistant Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within marine, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries
Drive revenue growth through strategic client acquisition and account penetration
Lead and manage end-to-end tender processes (RFQ/RFP), including proposal development, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiation
Develop tailored solutions aligned with client needs in inspection, testing, and certification services
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including procurement and technical stakeholders
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure service delivery excellence
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Engineering (Marine, Chemical, Petroleum, Industrial) or Business Management
7–10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles with a strong “hunter” track record
Mandatory background from Surveying companies, TIC organizations, or marine-energy inspection services
Proven experience in B2B consultative selling and complex service/solution sales (non-product based)
Demonstrated success in managing and winning large-scale tenders, including commercial proposal writing and cost estimation
Strong technical understanding of Marine Cargo Surveys (draft surveys, bunker surveys, loading/discharging inspections)
Solid knowledge of inspection services, asset integrity, and compliance standards in energy/infrastructure sectors
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Indonesian
Established network with procurement and key stakeholders in marine, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries
