Job Description
Laminator is responsible for operating laminating equipment and assisting in the preparation of laminated materials for use in facilities management projects. This includes the lamination of signage, protective coverings, and various materials used in maintenance or refurbishing projects.

Operational:
• Ensure laminating machines are properly set up for different types of materials, adjusting settings such as temperature, speed, and pressure for optimal results.
• Trim, align, and prepare materials (e.g.documents, signage, floor or wall coverings) for lamination, ensuring they are clean, wrinkle-free, and correctly sized.
• Operate laminating equipment to apply protective film to materials, ensuring consistent quality throughout the production process
• Regularly check laminated items for defects such as air bubbles, wrinkles, or uneven lamination.
• Ensure materials meet both visual and functional quality standards.
• Monitor the quality of each batch of laminated materials during the process, adjusting settings or addressing issues promptly to prevent defects.
• Examine the final product to ensure the lamination is intact, clear, and free from any distortions.
• Routine maintenance of laminating machines
• Perform regular cleaning and basic maintenance on laminating machines, ensuring they are in good working order to avoid downtime.
• Identify and resolve minor issues like paper jams, film tears, or mechanical faults quickly to minimize disruptions in the lamination process.
• Continuously check equipment during operation to ensure it is running efficiently, adjusting as necessary to optimize output
• Collaborate with other team members in the facilities management department to ensure that laminated materials meet the specific needs
• Work closely with teams handling installation or maintenance to ensure laminated materials are delivered on time and in the correct format for their intended use.
• Document daily activities, including types of materials laminated, quantities produced, and any issues encountered.
• Maintain records of equipment performance, including routine maintenance schedules, repairs, and usage logs.
• Provide regular reports on lamination supplies, including stock levels and usage trends, to ensure effective resource management.
• Ensure that laminated materials meet the specifications and quality required by the internal team or clients in facilities management projects.
• Organize work schedules to ensure that laminated materials are available when required for installations, refurbishments, or other FM activities
