JOB SUMMARY
As our Content Creator & Visual Storytelling Specialist, you will be the visual voice of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Your mission is to capture and produce compelling content that drives visitation, dining, retail, and rental engagement across our
properties. This is a hands-on role that blends field-based content capture with high-level editing and platform-specific execution.
You will report directly to the Director of Operations –Hospitality Division to ensure our brand story is consistent and impactful
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Content Production: Capture and produce high-quality photography and video (including short-form Reels, TikToks,
and Shorts) that highlight lodging, F&B, boat rentals, retail, and the natural landscape of Lake Mead.
• Brand Storytelling: Develop branded series and seasonal campaigns that showcase associate expertise, guest
adventures, and community/partner stories across all lines of business.
• Platform Management: Manage day-to-day content packaging and scheduling for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok,
YouTube, and LinkedIn, ensuring all posts are optimized for performance and reach.
• Strategic Planning: Execute the content calendar in alignment with seasonal peaks and marketing goals, providing
field-based insights to help shape future marketing decisions.
• Community Engagement: Lead UGC (User-Generated Content) efforts by curating guest content and supporting onsite activations, including influencer visits, media opportunities, and pop-up events.
• Technical Execution: Edit and deliver polished assets using industry-standard tools for use across websites, email
campaigns, signage, and on-site guest communications.
• Compliance & Collaboration: Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and the Director of Operations to ensure all
content adheres to GSI brand standards and National Park Service (NPS) protocols.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor engagement metrics and platform trends to create actionable reports that inform data driven decisions for the LMMA team.
• Asset Management: Maintain a searchable digital library of all raw and edited footage, ensuring assets are organized,
tagged, and accessible for future use.
• Equipment Stewardship: Responsible for the specialized care, maintenance, and storage of technical gear (cameras,
drones, audio) in a challenging desert and water environment.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required; secondary education in a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of content creation tools by platform, plus Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
• Deep knowledge of how different platforms operate and understanding of interpreting analytics.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Able to accurately handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Must be service and safety oriented. Must possess a sense of awareness, timelines, urgency, common sense,
and have a very strong attention to detail. Strong organization and time management skills are a must.
• Strong level of knowledge and comfort with Windows operating system and MS Office software required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Availability for seasonal position (May 2026 – October 2026)
• Able to work in extreme temperatures / or demanding outdoor climates
• Lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. Occasionally.
• Be comfortable in settings with lots of water either on lake, in lake and around lake.
• Able to sit for long periods up to two-hour stretches. Perform repetitive motions like bending, grasping, and typing
• Able to spend long periods working on a computer, digital device, or outdoor settings.
• Strong physical ability to hike and move through the park to enable capturing features of the area.
• Read and write work-related documents in English.
• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of visitors, co-workers and guests, and the
ability to speak clearly in order to be understood in English.
