Position Summary
As a Dietary Aide, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and serving meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Your role plays a key part in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and tray setup
- Serve meals according to dietary restrictions and care plans
- Clear trays and assist with dishwashing and cleanup
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Support the dietary team with daily kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience in healthcare or food service preferred
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and special diets
- Friendly, professional demeanor with residents and staff
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compassion for an underserved population
