Wellfound is hiring a Court Coordinator to join our team. This is a full time Monday - Friday position.
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.
Position information:
The Court Coordinator works in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to perform clinical assessments and evaluations of patients admitted on a civil commitment system-wide for involuntary detention to a psychiatric facility. The Court Coordinator provides testimony and writes petitions recommending restrictive treatment for patients admitted on initial detention orders or revocations of restrictive orders in compliance with Pierce County Superior Court rules.

- Salary – Associate License Level $80,167.40 - $145,267 based on union step
- Salary – Independent License Level $82,278 - $153,462 based on union step

- Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
- Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.
- Tuition Reimbursement up to $3,000 annually
What We Require:
Education:
- Master’s in psychology, Social Work or related field
Certification/Licenses:
- Current Licensed as Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Associate, or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Associate, or Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW) or Associate, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Associate.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Work Experience:
- Five (5) years recent experience working with acutely ill psychiatric patients specifically involving evaluation of psychiatric safety, level of function, psychiatric diagnoses and medications.
- Three (3) years recent experience working in a hospital setting.
Preferred:
- Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) experience in Pierce County.
- Experience writing court petitions.
