Job Summary

Hybrid Schedule: in Administrative Building (downtown Dallas) Tuesdays & Wednesdays

This role will be the key Compensation Manager for our clinical positions. Building relationships with clinical leaders is paramount to understand the unique needs of our valued clinical team members. Experience in healthcare would be ideal.

The Manager Compensation designs, executes, and manages system-wide base and variable pay programs. This position monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures. It recommends program enhancements consistent with compensation trends and business needs. This position also provides strategic compensation guidance to HR and Business managers. This helps influence compensation philosophy and initiatives within the organization.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Provides thought leadership on major compensation initiatives. Links pay programs to compensation philosophy and business needs.
  • Manages the design, development, and implementation of compensation programs. These programs align with the organization's overall compensation strategy. They deliver results that help achieve key business priorities.
  • Consults with managers on pay recommendations, compensation practices and policy and guideline interpretation.
  • Influences decision-making and outcomes by providing detailed testing, innovative recommendations, and professional advice to management and HR Business Partners.
  • Develops and implements procedures to ensure compensation programs are fair and competitive. This is based on the established compensation philosophy.
  • Manages project teams for compensation planning, budget planning, and merger integration. Leads performance management programs and annual increase planning activities.
  • Educates management about the organization's compensation philosophy, salary structure, and market testing. Explains merit and bonus processes. Works with HR Communications to develop key manager and employee messaging on compensation topics.
  • Provides supervision to Compensation team members to ensure staff development and high-quality solutions for the organization.
  • Performs HR activities like interviewing, hiring recommendations, orienting, evaluating, coaching, and team building. Assists with disciplinary actions if necessary.

Key Success Factors

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) highly desirable.
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll software preferred.
  • Knowledge of building compensation plans and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of job evaluation and job testing systems.
  • Proficient data skills and highly detail oriented.
  • Ability to develop and implement short and long range organizational goals, priorities, strategic plans, policies and operating procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships across organizational lines.
  • General computer skills include Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling, payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.

  • EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE - 7 Years of Experience
