How you’ll make an impact in this role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
- The Team & Structure: Join a collaborative care environment comprising 1 full-time physician, 2 PRN physicians, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Medical Assistant, 2 Registered Nurses, and 4 sonographers.
- Manageable Work-Life Balance: Benefit from an occasional 1:3 call schedule supporting a mixed inpatient/outpatient practice where the vast majority of time is spent in the clinic. Weekend call is supported by PRN physicians.
- Drive Clinical Excellence: Lead evidence-based clinical decision-making within a physician-driven team focused on achieving top-tier quality outcomes and exceptional patient satisfaction.
- Enhance Regional Patient Care: Support a high-volume regional practice, managing a daily clinic volume of 8–10 patients alongside a stable inpatient consult volume of 0–5 patients.
- Shape the Future of Medicine: Inspire and mentor the next generation of medical professionals through available academic affiliations with the Indiana University School of Medicine - Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana, and the University of Evansville.
- Advanced Digital Infrastructure: Practice efficiently utilizing a robust specialized software suite including AthenaHealth, Sunrise Clinical Manager, CPN, Viewpoint, OneContent, and IMbills (complete training provided).

About the Facility
As a Level III Perinatal Center, Ascension St. Vincent Evansville provides comprehensive, high-acuity maternal and fetal care within a supportive, referral-based model. Our full-service MFM department offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, allowing you to focus on complex consultative care with no delivery responsibilities.

This is an exciting time to join Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. We have recently completed a comprehensive remodel of our Labor & Delivery unit, OB Emergency Department, and Mother/Baby units, enhancing both patient care and physician workflow. As an acute care hospital with critical care units and a full complement of subspecialty services, we offer the unique ability to care for mothers and babies within the same hospital, ensuring continuity, safety, and exceptional outcomes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
