Overview About the role: The Melbourne Head of Performance role is designed to ensure Zenith is at the forefront of digital innovation in media
This role will be responsible for spearheading the performance media strategy for new business development, as well as enhancing the quality and effectiveness of performance planning outputs
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the digital landscape, lead the team and support to deliver cohesive and strategic approaches to cross channel performance strategies, innovation, test and learn agenda/roadmap and campaign optimisation excellence
Deep financial acumen, natural relationship building and streamlined approach to ways of doing things, are key standouts to the roles’ success
As a member of the Melbourne leadership team, prowess and requires a visionary this role is pivotal to driving Zenith’s digital leader who can navigate the complexities of the digital world and unlock new media potential to drive optimal ROI for our clients What you will do with us: Elevate the quality of performance planning outputs, ensure alignment with current trends, client objectives and Zenith’s ‘ROI Connect’ planning process
Also, utilising data driven insights to inform and optimise digital campaigns, enhancing performance and Govern regular biddable platform ad account health audits ROI (search, social, programmatic aligning with platform best practices, testing/adopting latest features striving to unlock incremental performance and efficiencies
Collaborate with cross and continuously), functional teams (Research & Insights, SEO, Commerce, Data Solutions, Analytics) to integrate digital/performance strategies with broader client growth and campaign initiatives
Identify and elevate award worthy work to the business from within client teams
Share and inspire other teams to elevate existing work
Identify opportunity to test bespoke solutions with key media / tech partners Identify key training requirements for our teams and ensure all are skilled and accredited in required platforms Govern best practices and adherence to 1) critical brand safety standards and protocols, 2) biddable platform security and access compliance, and 3) generative AI responsible and ethical use of Identify opportunities to standardise and automate key digital/performance activation processes (creating playbooks/ adopting new tech/AI solutions) to increase overall agency efficiency and Client effectiveness Lead onboarding process and documentation of new clients from an AdTech setup and digital activation perspective
Establish proactive relationships with senior clients, leading clients in their understanding of the digital, performance media and ad technology landscape, best practices & innovation
Spearhead digital maturity programs with key clients to accelerate their path to digital resiliency amidst ongoing signal depreciation and privacy law reforms Craft well substantiated, concise and compelling written responses to digital, technology and data specific RFP questions
Work collaboratively with the team to develop comprehensive performance strategies that expertly solve for the client's strategic response growth challenge(s)
Drive ‘beyond the brief’ thinking through innovative use of technology and data that can create a competitive advantage for clients and/or unlock long business transformation benefits
Stay abreast of emerging digital/performance media technologies and platforms, evaluating their potential impact on our agency offerings and client success
Maintain a strong presence in market with the media, tech/data partners and clients, helping to position Zenith as a digital leader and growing its profile in the industry through thought leadership pieces
What You’ll Bring: Established experience of working within a fast paced agency environment working
Proven experience in a senior level digital performance marketing role
Advanced understanding (and ad platform proficiency) across Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social and Programmatic/Retail Media, Website/App Analytic Experience managing client stakeholders, teams and acquisition campaigns across Australia and New Zealand
Further experience across other countries in APAC is advantageous but not essential Inspiring, collaborative and easily gains trust and support of peers
Proven performance in driving growth for clients (incl. organic revenue growth) as well as working across new business
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels (simplifying media problems, interpreting complex data sets and turning digital jargon into plain language)
Strong presentation skills, is an exceptional storyteller who can construct well confidently present and substantiated presentations to senior clients and perform well in pitches (i.e., deliver digital strategy/implementation and technical aspects in an interesting and easy way for clients and teams to understand and buy into)
