What We Are Looking For!
Yard Attendant
POSITION SUMMARY
Performing general labor duties including maintaining the yard, cleanliness of the shop & offices, and
pull a refuse route when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESONSIBLITIES
• Operate mower and yard maintenance equipment
• Clean offices and restrooms
• Minor maintenance of offices and buildings including changing lightbulbs, unclogging plumbing,
and fixing minor damages
• Sweep and clean yard, yard organizing, cleaning wash bay when needed, trash disposal
• Load/unload of equipment checking for damage on returns, documentation on condition,
loading and unloading on trucks and trailers
• Keep yard neat and orderly
• Monitor, take, and/or reconcile inventory in yard
• Maintain surveillance of yard for broken, misplaced, or out of order equipment
• Fill in as a helper on the back of a refuse truck when needed
• Operate hand tools regularly used in loading or yard activity
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS
• Solid waste experience is preferred
• Ability to work with computers. Specifically, parts look up and inventory tracking
• Self-starter with the ability to take on new tasks without a lot of supervision
• Able to work well with minimal supervision
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
• Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in various weather condition including inclement or hot weather
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Ability to climb, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and
occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds
• Exposure to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.)

• Exposure to physical environment which involves moving mechanical parts, fumes fumes, dirt,
odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
EDUCATION
• High school diploma or equivalent
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Valid Driver's License
